CGK1 advances toward Q4 2026 delivery, with 2 × 725 MVA (1.45 GW) secured for the CGK Campus to support hyperscale and AI infrastructure growth
Cikarang, 8 Juni 2026 — Digital Edge today announced two major milestones at its 500MW CGK Campus in Bekasi, Greater Jakarta: the structural topping out of its first building, CGK1, and a new agreement with PT PLN (Persero) increasing secured power 1.45 GW for the campus – the largest single-campus power commitment ever secured for a data center in Indonesia. These milestones reinforce the CGK Campus’s ability to support Indonesia’s accelerating demand for hyperscale and AI infrastructure.
Secured early in the project lifecycle, the 1.45 GW power agreement – structured as 2 x 725 MVA across two independent feeds – supports a resilient dual-feed architecture to support mission-critical AI and cloud workloads. Fully secured for the entire CGK campus, it reflects a shared commitment to ensuring Indonesia has the grid-scale foundation required to support its digital economy. As AI adoption accelerates, securing large and reliable power capacity upfront is critical to scalable, high-performance data center development.
A US$4.5 billion development, the CGK Campus is purpose-built for AI and data-intensive workloads, with resilient, energy-efficient infrastructure designed to target a market-leading annualized PUE of 1.25, achieve LEED certification, incorporate recycled water systems, integrate renewable energy, and feature liquid cooling to support AI workloads. Developed in line with committed customer requirements, CGK1 is on track to be ready for service by Q4 2026, with the second and third buildings following in Q1 and Q2 2027 respectively.

President Director of PLN, Darmawan Prasodjo, affirmed that PLN continues to play an active role in strengthening the national digital ecosystem, including supporting the development of the data center sector, through the provision of reliable and sustainable electricity supply.
“The growth of the data center industry reflects the rapid expansion of Indonesia’s digital ecosystem. Through this collaboration, PLN is committed to delivering reliable and sustainable electricity supply to support the needs of this strategic sector, while further strengthening Indonesia’s position as a digital economy hub in Southeast Asia,” said Darmawan.
“The topping out of CGK1, backed by the largest single-campus power agreement in Indonesia, reflects our ability to scale in support of the country’s digital growth,” said Stephanus Oscar, CEO of Digital Edge Indonesia. “By securing power upfront, we are enabling hyperscale and AI deployments with the certainty and speed the market requires. Together with PLN, we are building a platform designed to scale with Indonesia’s digital economy.”
CGK Campus is strategically located less than 15 kilometers from other major data center clusters in Cikarang area and approximately 40 kilometers from Digital Edge’s downtown EDGE1 and EDGE2 facilities, offering low-latency access to key business districts while anchoring Indonesia’s broader digital ecosystem. The campus will be underpinned by the extensive fiber and network assets of Indonet, Digital Edge’s wholly owned Indonesian telecommunications subsidiary, including the new 100% underground fiber routes that significantly enhance network reliability and resilience.
