Jakarta, June 6, 2023 – In a significant move to enhance connectivity and services for Indonesian internet users, Digital Edge Indonesia welcomed members of Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jasa Internet Indonesia (APJII) DKI Jakarta to its EDGE1 data center. This visit, part of APJII DKI Jakarta’s Training and Certification Program, aimed to showcase high-connectivity data center solutions tailored for internet service providers and their customers.
Since its inception in 2021, Digital Edge Indonesia’s EDGE1 facility, boasting a 6 MW IT Load capacity, has become a hub for over 35 local and international internet service providers. Catering to a diverse clientele, including Cloud services, Financial Service Providers, and Content Delivery Networks (CDN), Digital Edge Indonesia is gearing up to launch EDGE2. With a 23 MW IT load, EDGE2 is set to further bolster connectivity solutions by the end of 2023.
The visit on June 6, 2023, featured a comprehensive presentation by the Digital Edge Indonesia team on interconnectivity solutions. As a neutral platform for Cloud, Carrier, and Internet Exchange services, Digital Edge Indonesia offers unparalleled opportunities for internet service providers to interconnect with a myriad of companies at EDGE1.
This initiative allows APJII members to support the peering needs of enterprises, particularly cloud providers, content providers, and CDNs, ensuring high interconnection for their operations. The tour of EDGE1 provided insights into the data center’s security standards, redundancy power, and network concepts.
Tedi Supardi Muslih, Chairman of APJII DKI Jakarta Regional Management, highlighted the potential for members to peer with global providers, opening new business avenues. Stephanus Oscar, CEO of Digital Edge Indonesia, emphasized the creation of a robust digital ecosystem through interconnected networks, offering clients diverse digital infrastructure solutions with SLA guarantees.
